Biography

Paula Jean Pasqua grew up in Longmont, Colorado.  Her parents were both musicians, and she began studying piano at age 5.  However, her deepest interest lay with the violin, which she began studying at age 10.  She was a member of Weekend for Strings honors groups (now know as Western States Orchestra) 5 years running, and was concertmaster her senior year. She also successfully auditioned for and took part in All State Orchestra during all three of her high school years.  In ninth grade, she began playing with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra and successfully auditioned for the principal second violinist position as a senior.

Paula received her Bachelor and Master Degrees of Music with Emphasis in Violin Performance from the University of Northern Colorado where she studied under Richard Fuchs.  She also worked on a vocal degree at UNC for 18 months, studying with Kim Warrick and Carl Gebrandt.

In 1995, Paula released a solo album entitled Stand in Awe.  She has also recorded violin clips and solos for numerous CDs by other artists over the past 15 years as well as doing TV spots for various promotions.  She is currently a member of the Rome Symphony Orchestra and a substitute violinist with the Chattanooga Symphony. This year she was honored as Musician of the Year in the Rome Symphony. She has trained over 200 different students in violin, piano, and vocal technique and performance.  Paula was the first violinist for String Quartet Con Brio, based out of Fort Collins Colorado and a member of the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra for 4 years.

David and Paula Pasqua moved from Loveland, Colorado to Rocky Face, Georgia in July of 2006.  They have three children, ages 18, 16, and 14.  Currently, Paula is giving private music instruction, serving on the worship team at Fellowship Bible Church, and playing for various community and private events.
